Passwords and Security

Your account name and password is the key to all the information stored on the hotpotatoes.net system, including student information and exercise results. Anyone who logs in using your name and password can change or delete any of this information.

It is therefore very important to keep your password safe, especially from your students. It is also very important to log off the hotpotatoes.net system when you have finished your work - the system will eventually log you off automatically, but this can take up to an hour, and during that time your account administration area might be vulnerable to attack.
